Emily Gentry

I am from Pfafftown, NC, a very small town outside of Winston-Salem that nobody knows of. I am a freshman at UNC Chapel Hill and currently majoring in Chemistry. Some say I’m out of my mind for that decision, but I am crazy about science I suppose. I have been running for about six years. I ran cross-country and track in high school and continued running into college. I’ve completed two half-marathons in my running career. My ultimate bucket list wish is to finish a marathon. I am obsessed with dogs, all shapes, sizes, and colors. I absolutely love to travel. Anytime I get the opportunity to head to warmth or some body of water, I seize it. I love to scuba dive, water ski, sail, and do any sort of outdoor activity. Two of my favorite things in the world include an ice cold Coca-Cola on a hot summer’s day and a stroll down the beach at sunset. Licorice is literally the only food I don’t like and I would eat steak and potatoes everyday if I could. I’m pumped to be a part of the Fleet Feet team and get the opportunity to share my love for running!
