One thing you will not need to worry about at this race is cars getting on the course. The race is run on the cart paths of the beautiful Arnold Palmer golf course at Brier Creek.
In 2015 well over 200 runners and walkers participated. Augustin Fiorito led all finishers in 19:11. Caitlin Messina won the women’s title in 22:22. Colin Jones holds the men’s course mark of 17:55 set in 2014. Michelle Langan holds the women’s course record of 19:02 set in 2013.
Due to the nature of the course, the event is limited to 300 entries.
The entry fee is $25, After February 10th, the fee is $30 up to and including race day. T-shirts are guaranteed to all registered by February 10. In addition to the shirt, the fee also includes a post race continental breakfast of muffins, foods and drink inside the luxurious Clubhouse.
Awards will be given to the first three males overall, to the first three women overall, as well as the first three boys and girls 14 and under.
Profits from the race will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
