Half & Full Marathon Training Program - Fall 2017

The Fall 2017 Half and Full Marathon Training Program is a 14 week program which meets up to three times a week designed to prepare runners and walkers for their first ever endurance event or to help seasoned runners meet a new performance goal. This program will educate on endurance training principles, hydration and nutrition techniques, body awareness, pacing and running autonomy. This Fall 2017 season will be geared towards the Richmond Marathon or Half Marathon, The Outer Banks Marathon and Half Marathon and the RDC Half & Full Marathon all on the weekend of November 11th &12th, 2017. However, our Coaches can help you train for any Fall race you choose! We will have adjusted training plans for the Bull City Race Fest Half Marathon, City of Oaks Marathon and Half Marathon and more.

Quick Overview:

  • Open House Information Sessions: July 25th from 6 to 8 pm at Fleet Feet Durham, stop in anytime!
  • Start Date: August 1st at 6:30 in Durham, August 2nd at 6:30 in Carrboro.
  • Season Logistics: Tuesdays @ 6:30 pm in Durham, Wednesdays @ 6:30 pm in Carrboro & alternates between the two stores on Saturdays at 7 am
  • Goal Race: Richmond Marathon & Half Marathon, the Outer Banks Half and Full Marathon, and the RDC Half and Full Marathon - on the weekend of November 11th and 12th, 2017. 
  • Cost: $115 early bird, $125 regular

Speed + Distance Training

#mondaycrew

The #mondaycrew Training Group started in 2014 as a training group for those looking to qualify or run the Boston Marathon. Our name comes from the camaraderie we've experienced in the intense Speed Workouts that are held on Monday nights as a nod to ‘Marathon Monday’. What started as a small group of 8 people has grown into a program we hold three seasons a year and has trained over 150 people. We like to focus our #mondaycrew seasons as listed below, but are more than happy to work with any distance, time or race goal:

  • Winter/Spring - Marathon/Half Marathon/10 Mile Training (with emphasis on the Boston Marathon Qualifying or training for).
  • Summer - 10K/5K/Speed Training to help prepare for a fast Fall race, emphasis on Hot Weather Training.
  • Fall - Marathon/Half Marathon/10K Training.
As a participant of the #mondaycrew you receive more individualized attention - we have one-on-one Goal-Setting meetings with the Coaches, build you an individualized week by week Training Plan and you have access to Coaches via email, phone, and text outside of group training.

Half & Full Marathon Training Program - Winter/Spring 2018

The Spring 2018 Half and Full Marathon Training Program is a 14 week program which meets up to three times a week designed to prepare runners and walkers for their first ever endurance event or to help seasoned runners meet a new performance goal. This program will educate on endurance training principles, hydration and nutrition techniques, body awareness, pacing and running autonomy. This Spring 2018 season will be geared towards the Rock N Roll Raleigh Half or Full Marathon. However, our Coaches can help you train for any spring race you choose! We will have adjusted training plans for the Tobacco Road Marathon & Half Marathon, Shamrock Marathon & Half Marathon in VA, Not So Normal Runs in Carrboro, and the Flying Pirate Half Marathon at the Outer Banks.

Quick Overview:

  • Open House Information Sessions: TBD
  • Start Date: Early January 2018.
  • Season Logistics: Tuesdays @ 6:30 pm in Durham, Wednesdays @ 6:30 pm in Carrboro & alternates between the two stores on Saturdays at 7 am
  • Goal Race: Rock N Roll Raleigh Marathon & Half Marathon
  • Cost: $115 before December 20th (early bird), $125 after
