Fleet Feet Carrboro & Durham are back at it again! The Spring 2015 session of the Half and Full Marathon Training Program starts on January 13th in Carrboro and on January 14th in Durham.  It will be training for a race on April 12th, the Rock 'n' Roll Raleigh Half and Full Marathon in Raleigh.  Anyone training with Fleet Feet is eligible for a 10 dollar off coupon code for this race which you will get in the confirmation e-mail upon registration. Race registration is not included in the Training Program Fee.

Program Overview:

  • Dates: Program starts January 13th in Carrboro and January 14th in Durham. We will have an info session at the Training Program EXPO (more details soon!!) on January 3rd, 2015. If you still aren't convinced that you should run with us, come to a FREE workout and bring a friend January 10th, 7 am at Fleet Feet Carrboro.
  • Tuesday evenings at 6 pm in Carrboro and Wednesday evenings at 6 pm in Durham. Saturdays alternate between the stores.
  • Our Mile Time Trial will be on January 17th to help divide us into pace groups! 
  • We will have the following pace groups:
    • <9:30 training pace (if you feel this group will not push you enough, check out our Advanced Program!!)
    • 9:30 - 10:30 training pace
    • 10:30 - 11:30 training pace
    • 11:30 - 12:30 training pace
      • 4:1 intervals (set intervals, will not change)
    • 12:30 - 13:30 training pace
      • 4:1 intervals (set intervals, will not change)
    • 13:30 - 14:30 training pace
      • 4:1 intervals (set intervals, will not change)
    • 14:30 - 16:00 training pace
      • 4:1 intervals (set intervals, will not change)
    • Walkers (for the Half Marathon Training)
  • Training distance starts at 7 miles for full and 4 miles for the half. Participants must be able to run (or run/walk using a 4:1 interval) 7 Miles comfortably before they start the Full training and 4 miles (or run/walk using a 4:1 interval) for the half.
  • If a participant is doing intervals, they must do the 4:1 interval – if they are consistently doing something above 4:1 we recommend training in a slower pace group and running continuously.

  • Clinics on nutrition, sports psychology, strength training, and yoga all to help you prepare for running your best race!

Program Cost:

  • $115 through January 3rd, 2015
  • $125 after January 4th, 2015
