MAKE THE COMMITMENT TO LEADING AN ACTIVE AND HEALTHY LIFESTYLE IN 2016! IT STARTS WITH A SINGLE STEP, AND WE ARE HERE TO TAKE IT WITH YOU!

Make It a Mile is a four-week walking/running program designed to help beginners take the first steps to getting healthy by completing one mile. The program includes a safe, guided training plan designed to allow you to work at your own pace in a non-threatening, non-judgmental environment. At the end of the four weeks, you'll be mentally and physically able to complete one mile. We encourage participants to exercise at their own comfortable pace. This is a beginner walking or walk/run program but can also be used to get a little extra distance before our No Boundaries path to 5K program.

Training will begin April 4th, 2016! The Info Session will be held on Thursday, March 31st at 6 pm at our Carrboro store.

This season, we invite you to join us for a very fun 1 mile race - walk, run and bring your family to the Hill Mile race supporting The Hill Center. All race proceeds go to student financial aid and teacher scholarships!

We make getting active an attainable goal, so get your walking shoes and let's start moving! Your program will include:

  • 4-week training schedule
  • Coach-led workouts on Monday (Fleet Feet Durham) and Thursday (Fleet Feet Carrboro) nights at 6:30 pm
  • A weekly email with training tips, nutrition and other educational information
  • The camaraderie of others with the same goal
  • Shopping Specials at Fleet Feet Sports and more!

Cost: $40
